The LETS Story: The LETS organization was founded by the owners of the most beautiful yachts on Lake Erie and surrounding waters, Tartans!
Our organization, or Clan, is founded on the love of sailing our yachts, and the fellowship and camaraderie of other Tartan owners on the Lakes. We recognize that we all have different levels of sailing knowledge, skills and abilities and plan this into all our activities. So no matter what your skill or interest, we encourage all to participate.
The Clan schedules various rendezvous' and gatherings each year. In addition, we are recognized and enjoy the support of Tartans' manufacturer, Fairport Yachts, LTD, 1920 Fairport Nursery Road, Fairport Harbor, Ohio. (www.tartanyachts.com)

Where We Sail:
- Our Members: We invite all Tartan owners in the Lake Erie Area (U.S. & Canada) to "register" with the group
at no charge. Simply registering will get you on our emailing list so you can stay abreast of any shared info and events.
The membership of the group is comprised, mostly, of those sailing from Cleveland, west to the Detroit River and north to Canadian waters and ports. However, we invite all those that wish, to join. The annual membership fee is a mere $10 per boat and joining by LETS, you will receive "member" prices in all group activities and functions as well as supporting the organization.
What We Do:
- LETS Activities: As a rule, we have at least one rendezvous during the sailing season and a great event it is! We have had boats from the T27 all the way up to the
T4100 attend past events. During our rendezvous, it is customary to have an Open Boat tour where all can show off their beautiful boats, changes, projects and share in their dreams.
If you're a new owner, these annual events are also a great venue to seek advice, first hand, from those who have the expertise in similar boats, gear and/or accessories. As an extra bonus, the infamous "Tartan Beer" (imported Scottish ale) is provided at every rendezvous. We pull out all the stops!
